Overview:
This updated 3.0 version expands on what was learned in prior Opioid Prescribing courses. This iteration will feature updated guidelines from the CDC as well as real-life scenarios that will illustrate the complexities of prescribing controlled substances and ways you can protect yourself from litigation and potential patient harm.
After registering and paying for your course, you will receive an email containing log-in instructions. The email containing the information will be from Medical Mutual's Risk Management Department (trainer@mindflash.com).
Objectives:
Upon completion of this Internet activity enduring material, participants will be better able to:
- Understand updated guidelines and regulations relating to prescribing opioids and controlled substances
- Identify riskier patients and develop sound pain management plans
- Understand how to limit their risk when prescribing opioids and other controlled substances.
